Ignited Minds Students unite to fight against evils



University of Pune students form 'Ignited Minds', a group to mobilise the youth for the cause Students from various departments of University of Pune (UoP) on Wednesday staged 'a peaceful protest against the offenders of citizens'.
These students have formed a group 'Ignited Minds'. They met at Shivaji Garden on the UoP campus.  Vishwajit Singh, an Ignited Minds member, said, "Though we are living in a civilised society, we are not sensitive to what is happening around us. There is rampant corruption, crime, illiteracy and child labour. But we prefer to neglect them owing to our routine life."
Other organisation members including Rajesh Nerkar, Santosh Chavan, Shailesh Shinde and Nitin Thorat said they have come together not to neglect such issues. They will raise voice against them.
They vowed to remain alert and raise issues plaguing society and affecting the common citizens. "We have called a meeting on November 12. We will bring together five members from each department of the university," he said.
At present, the organisation has 15 student members. The students are also working with various NGOs to support their mission.
